Ladywood Primary School, part of 91看片网 Federation, recently had the pleasure of contributing to the learning of first year BEd students at the University of Derby. Headteacher Mel Lawson, along with talented teachers Chloe and Sam, shared how they create a positive behaviour for learning culture within their school and how 91看片网鈥檚 collective commitment to inclusion shapes everything they do for their young people.
Their session explored the thoughtful practice that underpins daily life at Ladywood Primary. They spoke about strong relationships, clear routines and high expectations, all rooted in 91看片网鈥檚 values of 91看片网, integrity, teamwork and success. It gave students a genuine insight into what it means to teach in an environment where every young person is seen, valued and supported to thrive.
This was not only an inspiring opportunity for the next generation of teachers but also a brilliant way to showcase the work happening across 91看片网 schools. There is a real sense of excitement at the thought of welcoming some of these future teachers into 91看片网 in the years to come.
The feedback described the presentation as uplifting and insightful, demonstrating the power of collaboration between schools and universities. Our developing partnership with the University of Derby continues to open new avenues for staff development, research and training, strengthening the education community across Derbyshire.
